Find below a few questions we are typically asked, but if you can’t find the answer to your query please do contact us and we will be happy to help.

How long will it take you to make my project?

We aim to have produced your order within 4-6 weeks, but this really depends on what your project is! We will discuss this with you at the point of order. We will keep you updated on progress and notify you as soon as possible if we encounter any unavoidable delays. Please see our ‘The Order Process’ page for full details.

Do you require a deposit?

We require 10% of the confirmed quotation as deposit on all orders.

What if I want to cancel my order?

If we haven’t received material or commenced production, we will refund your deposit in full. Please refer to our Terms of Business for full details.

What if I want to make changes to the design during production?

If you need to make a change to the design, please contact us as soon as possible. It may certainly be possible to make adjustments, but this is very much dependent on what stage of production your order is at. We will be able to talk through the changes in requirements and advise of any costs that may be incurred.

I have an existing gate or railing – can you remove this for me?

Certainly. We can remove any existing components that are to be replaced by us and recycle them for you free-of-charge.

What happens if I don’t coat my product?

We will offer a recommendation for coating during our initial conversations and at the site survey. We would always suggest a coating to maximise the life of the product – but then you may be looking for rusty steel! Full details of the available coatings are explained on our ‘Finishings’ page.

What happens if I don’t like the colour of the final product?

Sometimes it’s obvious what colour your product will be supplied in – black, for example. However, colours such as green or red can be a little more difficult to visualize.

Colours for metal products are chosen from a RAL chart. We will have the RAL chart available for you to view and may even be able to show you samples or photographs of products in your prospective colour. We also recommend utilising the internet to search for metal projects in that colour – sometimes looking at images online gives you a better idea of what to expect.

We will endeavour to help guide you as much as we can. In the event you dislike the colour of the finished product, we will be unable to offer you any refund of monies. Of course, we will be happy to provide you with a quotation to have the product returned to be re-coated.

Can you repair my existing gate or railing?

Yes. We will try to repair existing gates or railings on site to minimize cost and disruption. However, please be aware sometimes it is necessary for us to recommend removing the product and attending to it in our workshop where we have access to full tooling.

Will you travel to me?

As we are based in Norfolk, most of our work is undertaken throughout East Anglia. However, if you have a larger project in mind, please do contact us and we can advise if we would be able to accept your enquiry.
